The
Orange County Academic Decathlon (OCAD) invites public and private high school students to compete as individuals and team members in a series of ten academic events. Participants demonstrate their academic strength by completing seven (7) written tests, writing an essay, delivering a prepared and an impromptu speech, and participating in an interview. Each team consists of nine students -- 3 “A” (honor), 3 “B” (scholastic), and 3 “C or below” (varsity) students.
